The burden is put on the user to waste time figuring out how to navigate these broken sites and services simply to give these businesses their money.

The internet was supposed to make things more convenient, but the reliance on a handful of big tech companies has allowed them to turn convenience into arbitrary fees. AirBnB cleaning fees, Ticketmaster service fees, online ordering fees for restaurants, credit card processing fees passed on to the user.
